Global commercial air traffic reached an all-time high on July 23, 2026. According to Flightradar24, 153,359 commercial flights were tracked worldwide in a single day, making it the busiest day ever recorded in commercial aviation.
The new record reflects the increase in passenger traffic and flight demand during the peak summer season. The figure includes passenger, cargo, charter and certain other commercial aviation operations tracked by the platform.
